A Passion for Learning
Cadmus was one of the great Greek heroes. The founder of the Greek city state Thebes, he brought the very first alphabet to the Greeks, a feat that laid the foundation for the first alphabet in the Western world. In a real sense, he delivered the gift of knowledge to ancient Greek civilization, and by extension, to the Western world. It is in that spirit that we embrace our name of Cadmus Tutorials. As human beings, the greatest gift we possess is the gift of knowledge.

At Cadmus Tutorials we believe in a holistic method based on a classical liberal arts model. STEM is an integral aspect of education in the modern world, but STEM’s application in the everyday world is meaningless if students are not taught how to think critically. Writing is one of the most difficult subjects to learn and to teach because much of it is subjective, making the ability to think critically imperative. Writing is also a challenge because of the complexity of the English language.
As an extension of the liberal arts model, Cadmus focuses onvocabulary enrichment, strong reading comprehension skills, critical thinking and rhetoric, and effective style, all of which are crucial to developing facility with English. Cadmus uses these elements as a means of giving a student a well-rounded appreciation of language and how to apply it practically in multiple areas of their academic careers and beyond. We focus on teaching SAT/ACT preparation, literary analysis, writing ranging from narrative to expository, and of course History.
